The hard part for me is that it is hard to determine 1/2 to 3/4 of the way to Line 1 because the difference from the bottom of the cap is not very much. I would have to guess it is maybe 1/2" from the bottom of the cap to Line 1 on the 2X Tide cap whereas it is like 1 1/4" on the older...

After removing the dark lens, I notice there is space between the cut out circle in the metal door and the window (obviously). I wonder if a clear lens can be put into its place. I would think with the space that dirt and lint and such could get into the door.

I measured out 1/4 of a cup of detergent and poured it back into the Tide HE cap. It comes to Line 2 on the cap. I assume I am using 1/8 of a cup of HE detergent since I fill it to Line 1.

So Far So Good So far everything has been running fine. I did have to remove the bottom panel to tighten up a loose bolt that made the front left of the machine vibrate somewhat violently during spins. Now it is as quite as can be. I have been using Tide HE liquid detergent with Febreze in it...
