I’m a Lady Kenmore fan.
As much as I like it to be my Cadillac as far as a washing machine goes, I would give the black Frigidaire the nod here (see Unimatic1140).

If I’d were to get myself a vintage dishwasher today, it would be a Horbet Built KitchenAid from the 1970’s or 1980’s or the Solid-State Sears Kenmore. Our family had the Sears Kenmore so described, and it was a great dishwasher.
It lasted 16 years.

A Sears Lady Kenmore Set in Avocado like today’s POD, and a GM Frigidaire Set with a washer that has an Up & Down Agitator. The Frigidaire Set would be a Roller-Matic or a 1970-79 1-18.

In today’s dollars
Being that this was GE’s TOL Washer and Dryer Set from 1972. In today’s dollars, these would be worth about $3,000.00 to $3,500.00 (about the equivalent of a Lady Kenmore set at Sears).

Nice Whirlpool Belt-Drive Set.
But now, the dryer?
I love the Full-Width Door on this one, but one in the Brady house has a Centered Swing Open Door, doesn’t it?

The Washer
Does this washer have a 3-Speed Motor on it or a 2-Speed one on it, and does it have the Catalyst System on it?
This washer looks like it’s pretty loaded.

My choice for a vintage clothes washer.
(01). Belt-Drive Lady Kenmore w/Triple Dispenser, Keyboard Panel, and Vari-Flex Agitator
(02). Whirlpool/Kenmore Direct-Drive w/Dual-Action Agitator (preferably, a Catalyst)
(03). Maytag A806
(04). ANY Frigidaire w/Up-Down Agitator (Unimatic...

Kenmore Model 700 or 800 (early 1970’s)
I was going say early 1970’s Model 700 or Model 800. #3 in the lineup that year.
But I was going to say #2 or #3 in the beginning. Both of those had detergent dispensers that year along with the Lady Kenmore.
The #2 had toggle switches, and the #3...
A 1966-73 Lady Kenmore with a 3-Speed Motor and a Vari-Flex Agitator, and a 1999-2001 Kenmore Elite Catalyst.
And a Speed Queen TC-5 round out my dream three for 2022-2023.
