i don't know how to tell if it's porcelain. also don't know what reverse rack is. found a door seal on e bay for $55. if the door seal is hard like the repairman said would it start gushing from the top like a waterfall all at once instead of gradually?

hi. new here. my old dishwasher suddenly and all at once is gushing water like a waterfall from the top right corner of the door. the black plastic above the tub is pretty badly cracked. a repairman yesterday said my door gasket was shot-too hard. i would think that would lead to a gradual leak...
