yes, motor runs w/o belts on.

yes, i can spin the pulleys by hand. so that means the transmission is locked up?

maytag a700 will not agitate or spin belts are good. at the start of spin cycle machine makes its usual clunk and about a quarter turn then stops and hums. so if not belts - ??

i have fixed the squeaky brake and replaced the top bearing. my maytag has developed a wobble at the start of the spin cycle that makes it really sensitive to being out of balance. i have leveled it and it seems centered. any ideas?

where do i oil? do i need to remove the brake assembly to do it?

thanks for your reply. yes, there is a buzzing noise. and the timer is a replacement and so is the switch. the solenoids (all three) test fine. Any idea where i might fine the nos 3 way valve? still could use a wiring diagram so i can be sure i've got this put back together correctly. thanks...
