hi, My replacement washer causes some pipe knock in my older home. My plumbing does not have expansion chambers in the plumbing like newer or fancier homes. Does anyone know of a way to reduce knocking when water valves in washer turn instantly "off" ? Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes top loader. Went ahead and bought it. Paid $100 total for both washer and matching dryer. They both work and look sharp. Dont see any leaking and sound good. A lot less money than repairing my old or buying brand new. Been reading and learning bunches from this website. Really wonderful...

My machine is helical trans. Do they also freeze up?? Pully really hard to turn in agitate direction, but can turn with force. I guess I'm stronger than motor.
