    Non-smelly dishwasher pods or tabs?

Thanks, I did try Finish Ultimate (I think) a couple of years ago but the scent was too strong for me. I went to big box hardware store the other night and they had the Finish Powerball Classic tabs so I'm all set.

    Non-smelly dishwasher pods or tabs?

Thanks. I'll probably order them if I can't find them anywhere. I'm down to my last tab so I was hoping to pick up a small pack of tabs/pods to tide me over. I can get Lemi Shine locally which looks like it may not have a strong odor.

    Non-smelly dishwasher pods or tabs?

FYI I am in the US. I've been using Finsh Powerball Classic tabs because they are the least smelly detergent that I have found. But now my local grocery store is out of them, my local Walmart stopped selling them, and I'm down to my last tab. Can anyone suggest another pod or tab that does...

Buildup on inside of dishwasher door

Thanks nmassman. I wonder what the cleaning component is in those packs. I have some citric acid that I use to clean our dishwasher and clothes washer once or twice a year. Maybe I could give that a try.

Buildup on inside of dishwasher door

Thanks again to all for the responses. My mom got a couple of samples of Cascade Platinum with the DW, so she will use those and if she likes them she will get more. maytaga806 - what you are saying sounds like what happened. It seemed like the staining is etched into the metal. I wonder if...

Buildup on inside of dishwasher door

Thanks to both for the pod suggestions. If anyone can recommend a good scent-free or low scent detergent, that would also be appreciated. She was using regular Cascade pods in the old dishwasher, but those were really smelly. That's whey she switched to the Palmolive -- it doesn't leave a...

Buildup on inside of dishwasher door

Thanks much. We live in the same town and have the same water supply, but I have a softener, so maybe that's why I'm not getting the same build-up. She does rinse. Do you have any suggestions for good pods available in the US?

Buildup on inside of dishwasher door

My mom recently got a new dishwasher (I had another thread about this a couple of weeks ago). She ended up getting a GE with a stainless interior. She has put it through maybe 3 or 4 washes, using the steam function, dry boost, and uses Palmolive Gel detergent. I was at her house tonight and...

Looking for a new dish washer

Thanks guys for the countertop suggestions, but my mom can make quite a few dishes and runs her dishwasher every couple of days. I'm pretty sure she will want a full sized one. Thanks johnb300m for the models without a filter. The local appliance place has one of the Frigidaires on display...

Looking for a new dish washer

Thanks appnut. Yes I did see the filter, but was hoping that maybe it would need less cleaning if it had the food grinder. Sounds like maybe that's not the case though from what you are saying. I'm wondering if there ARE any dishwashers without a filter any more??? On a humorous/disgusting...

Looking for a new dish washer

I'm looking for a new dish washer for my mom. She wants something basic, preferably with a food grinder in stead of a filter (or is a non-filter DW even possible any more?) because it's hard for her to reach inside to remove the filter for cleaning. I was looking at the following GE, but any...

    Mechanical Timer

I think Speed Queen still makes one or two with mechanical timers in their commercial line. I bought one two years ago. I special ordered it from a local retailer who sells SQ. You can order online too, if you're brave enough...

    Speed Queen water level question

I have a Speed Queen LWN432SP115TW01 that I did the water level selector mod on (thanks much to this forum!). However, even at the lowest water level setting, the tub fills up half way. Is this the normal minimum level for a SQ? I noticed what looked like an adjustment screw on the water...

    NWD! (New Washer Day)

I think this machine is aimed at commercial applications that routinely run full loads. But a load size selector can be added if desired: https://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?77806 Of course I would never do that, as it would invalidate the warranty!
