FYI I am in the US. I've been using Finsh Powerball Classic tabs because they are the least smelly detergent that I have found. But now my local grocery store is out of them, my local Walmart stopped selling them, and I'm down to my last tab. Can anyone suggest another pod or tab that does not have a strong smell? Do the Finish Powerball Power pods smell the same as the Classic tabs? My Walmart has those.

Dave, can you order these online from Walmart and have them delivered to your local store amd you pick them up? That's what I do, or have them delivered to my house.

Thanks. I'll probably order them if I can't find them anywhere. I'm down to my last tab so I was hoping to pick up a small pack of tabs/pods to tide me over.

I can get Lemi Shine locally which looks like it may not have a strong odor.

Thanks, I did try Finish Ultimate (I think) a couple of years ago but the scent was too strong for me.

I went to big box hardware store the other night and they had the Finish Powerball Classic tabs so I'm all set.

Well I'm one of the few who think the scent of just about every tablet I'd used has always been just right or maybe the stringer the better...

And at least I always knew that if my dishwasher smelled fresh and clean even with the strongest scent then I knew that that it veresus powdered detergent not as strong actually worked!

I'm interested in trying out the Cascade scent free pods and see how they turn out. Although I really like the smell of the Complete ones and doesn't leave a scent behind afterwards.

I’m a big fan of Finish classic too. I recently was at Home Depot and in the cleaning aisle and noticed they had 2 packages of 84 tablets for $4.99. I fear that they’re being discontinued.

this was/is my absolutely favorite dishwasher detergent

Classic Finish Powerball!

It's no longer at Costco... so last time I got Quantum... I don't HATE the quantum but it's not as good as the powerball. It doesn't foam and at the end the dishes/dishwasher smells clean/neutral. But there's something in it that doesn't agree fully with my water apparently...It's like a white film on the dishwasher at the end... but yet the dishes are spotless... No white film at all. If I use STPP with the Quantum...perfect results...So when I run a load of dishes I always pour a tablespoon of STPP in with the pod...when I run out... I'm not getting Quantum again. I'll either find powerball when I start running low (which won't be for a while) or get the Costco/Kirkland dishwasher packs again.

I will say... the Costco dishwasher pods are BETTER than the Quatum...I sort of got the same results as powerball ...Netural smell at the end...and no white film on dishwasher/or dishes...no foaming either..

The unscented Cascade pacs seem rare to find nowadays they weren’t a huge hit because P&G didn’t show any kind of effort in promoting & advertising the free and clear variety’s, their main and only focus when it comes to advertising their brand is talking about the Platinum over and over and over again, year after year. they never shed any kind of light on the original, complete, gels and powders which all work great in most water types but to them, it’s all about the platinum. But check your local stores and see if they have them, my Meijer stores still carry them where I’m at but Walmart never has.

finish power vs. finish ultimate

The Finish Ultimate tabs look bigger than the Finish Power tabs to me, considering they're plump feeling. That shrimp Alfredo casserole, especially in the pan that it was baked in wouldn't stand a chance in my dishwasher. Like Dave from Oak Park, I am a scent guy. The strong scents of Finish don't bother me.

Blueland tablets are fantastic

If you're looking for unscented, I might recommend looking into Blueland dishwasher tablets. Having initially tried them while I was on a non-toxic cleaning kick, I can say that I'm still using them months later. They are small tablets of pressed powder (no PVA coatings to dissolve and risk leaving trace amounts of microplastics), and while they aren't full of a ton of chemicals like Cascade or Finish packs they still perform exceptionally well.

The square hard classic powerball with the red ball in the middle is my all time favorite dishwasher detergent... I agree, most of them are way too scented... but some of them are forumalted to smell really strong... but in fact there's no trace of smell AFTER the dishwasher is done....which I've noticed is the case with Finish Quantum...Super strong smell in the bag but zero smell when the dishwasher is done...so you can't always go by how much they smell in the bag and assume that's what your dishes are going to smell like....I don't think Quantum is as good as powerball classic but neither leave a smell behind.

I have three flavors of Cascade that I use. All complete. Pods, powder and liquid. The liquid is probably the weakest of the three. The pods can foam up and overall I think the powder is probably the best. I'll try switching to finish when I finish these three up which will be quite some time
