2017 Speed Queen 9 series Top Load 5 Year Maintenance

Outer tub seal. Mine was completely shot after 10 years (2009 432 model) causing minor leaks. I will have mine proactively change soon. Other than that, a visual inspection by a qualified service tech will let you know of any (potential) problems. (FYI: single male doin' 3 to 5 loads/week). 15...

New front load from maypool with "pet pro" filter.

... and those 2 offset baffles that prevents clothes from forming into a ball seems to work well for one direction tumbling.

New front load from maypool with "pet pro" filter.

OMG! So simple and effective. My eyes tell me that those cloths are clean and well rinsed. Manufacture one today and I'm buying it!

    Washplate/impeller. When and by whom?

To reply #7 Yes Glenn! That is exactly what I meant. Thanks.

    Washplate/impeller. When and by whom?

I just want a little history lesson here. What company came up with the washplate type washers and when ? And if it did not originate in north America, when did it cross the pond ? Thanks!

The Only Laundry Cycle You Should Use

To reply #11 You're right. People simply knew how to do laundry, which now has become rocket science :). But maybe some vintage FL's with water heater had a sanitary cycle. I don't know.

    Laundrylux

Has anybody seen the wash action of the Encore Pro TL? Does it have a plastic tub with suspension rods or is it sturdier. Could not find any video... Thanks.

    2018 Speed Queen topload models

Poor rinsing cont'd I am satisfied with the rinsing of my 2009 432, however: Spray rince lasts 20 sec. and starts when the spin is in full throttle making the (vertical) water flume getting caught in the whirlwind and is spread evenly onto the clothes. But I wish it would last 10 sec. more. I...

What washing machine would you choose?

I would choose... For FL's: Asko. But if the price is too steep... Electrolux would be my 2nd choice. And I find their reversible door on all models to be a very nice touch.

    No more defending SpeedQueen.

I too am getting tired of SQ... Wrote them recently to ask questions/express concerns. They replied with a CDN tel # to call to discuss the issue. Replied that I would rather have the answers in writing since I am not comfortable speaking english. Dead silence... My best guess is that they...

    SQ bafles

This has probably been discussed on this forum already. If so, please provide link(s). Why did SQ dropped the integrated stainless steel baffles in its drum and why does the drum now have this "white'ish" color. Change in type of steel? Many thanks.

    Is this SQ worth buying?

Go for it!!! For $250!!! Even with the lack of water control I would get it and have it stored until my Heubsch ZWN432 gives in or for the spare parts. For cryin' out loud go for it!!! Can you tell us where you got this deal?

    Mechanical Timer

Thanks for all the feedbacks. Yes Alex, SQ still offer them in their On-Premises Line but not for long. It used to be available under the Huebsch brand in their Light Commercial Laundry line but no more. https://huebsch.com/products/light-commercial-laundry/top-load-washers/ Jerome (reply to...

    Mechanical Timer

Are there any companies that are still making good quality TL washers with mechanical timers? I know many companies that still do, mainly for their bottom of the line brands/products. But what about the higher end of the spectrum ?
