I already changed that whole injector mechanism... but thank you very much for the suggestion. I did that last year. Then it stopped leaking. This leak seems like a different leak. I could try removing that silver band around the tub, but first want to know if it will be easy to put back on...

Unfortunately, that didn't work...so... I was wondering what the next suggestion might be? I bought the Liquid Wrench and did as instructed, and in fact was able (though just barely) to turn the screw maybe a quarter turn or so, however the machine continues to leak. I thank you in advance...

Thank you, but... Actually, I think it COULD be that but I can't tell by what I looked at What I was referring to when I said "tub" was that big tub I see when I remove the front panel. That great big tub sitting right in front of me. It has a metal band around it holding two pieces together...

I was hoping someone here might be able to offer some very explicit directions for fixing a leak in my Maytag A606 (used to be my mom's, and has washed millions of loads!). I think, from the research I've done, it is probably related to a tub seal leak...you know, something under that metal...
