I got the part!

Hi, Friends.

The part has arrived, but I still can't really tell for sure if I'll need something other than what's in the kit. I'm not sure how this opaque plastic piece gets attached.

Also, it says in the kit's accompanying literature that the newer kits may have longer hoses than are necessary and to cut the hose as needed.

Will it be appropriate for me to simply try to match the length of the old hose with the new and cut accordingly?

Thank you very much.

I replaced the Water Injector kit...

...and I have no obvious leak at this point.

However, due to the fact that the leaks have been intermittent, I am still not certain that I have addressed the source of my leak. I must say that after disecting the original water injector kit, it really appeared to be in very good shape...I wouldn't expect that it was causing even an intermittent leak, but time will tell.

I want to also mention that I found a lot of VERY rusty old screws and clamps in there. I wonder about trying to replace those or leaving them. I'm sure there are probably several hoses that could use replacing after all these years, but I also suppose I'll wait within the context of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...and hope for no more leaking!

Thanks. I will gladly accept all "congratulations". ;)

Just kidding. Thank you again for this wonderful site. I'll be back in a flash if I have anymore leaks. And I'll be crying. :)

Julia
