    Speed Queen leaking oil

Grease Thanks everyone for the replies! Ha, I should've remembered this isn't a transmission model. It's hard to think straight with the kids crawling up the furniture and looking for trouble... 😉 My husband pulled the agitator off last night, and it was disappointingly clean underneath. We...

    Speed Queen leaking oil

We've got a pair of modern Speed Queens, purchased brand new in Spring 2020. Been great up until now, conveniently right out of warranty. Now clothes are ended up peppered in oil spots. I'm assuming the washing machine transmission is leaking. We're pretty handy and my husband can certainly...

Not mine, just stumbled across them by accident. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/602283402054401/

Vintage used 1980s Sears Kenmore full size built-in dishwasher - $100

Oops! I forgot to include the location. We're in western WA State. (Hard to type while corralling an 8-month-old!)

Vintage used 1980s Sears Kenmore full size built-in dishwasher - $100

We’re finally parting with this Kenmore dishwasher we picked up a couple of years ago. We purchased it locally in presumably working condition, but later decided to go with more appropriate 1970s Hotpoint appliances for our kitchen renovation. Asking $100. Model number 587-702300 (circa 1983)...

    What brand are these?

Thanks! I thought they were Hotpoint. I wonder what model of dishwasher that is?

    Wanted: early '70s Hotpoint dishwasher!

Still looking... We're just about to install the 1977 HDA700. I'm very happy to have it (it's in great shape and it's still Hotpoint from the 1970s) but would leap at the chance to find a circa 1971 built in Hotpoint dishwasher.

    Wanted! 60s/70s range hood

Good news! I am happy to announce we have just picked up the perfect early 70s Hotpoint range hood! It took a near 800 mile round trip to get it, along with its companion range. I now have a complete kitchen of vintage Hotpoint appliances. (Well, aside from the modern Speed Queens hiding in the...

    What brand are these?

This photo is from an ad out of the October 1971 issue of House & Home magazine. (From https://usmodernist.org/index-hh.htm) What brand are they? The range and hood both look like Hotpoint. Is the dishwasher?

    Hotpoint cycle defrost

How common are these cycle defrost Hotpoint fridge freezers? I believe it dates from 1968 or 1969. Just curious what our chances are of finding any replacement parts! It came out of a collapsed 1950s mobile home, where it was left abandoned for 20 years. Its companion range didn’t survive as it...

    Hotpoint dishwasher

Pictures will be coming soon! It's happily sat in the dining room awaiting installation, after the horrible plastic leaky modern Frigidaire dishwasher gets removed. Any recommendations for replacing the sound deadening insulation? It's quite dusty and grimy.

    Hotpoint dishwasher

It's here!!! The "new" dishwasher is home! I didn't expect it to show up until tomorrow, but it was just dropped off. Looks to be in great shape. Will get some pictures after my husband moves it into the kitchen.

    Hotpoint dishwasher

Well, the HDA700 should be coming home this weekend. Hopefully will have it on Sunday.

    Hotpoint! dishwashers!

I don't need to be sold on the benefits! Surely there must be one of those built-ins hiding out there somewhere in the world waiting for a loving new home? I don't mind if it sounds like a jet engine. (I admit I usually wash dishes by hand anyways...) It would make my kitchen perfect.

    Wanted: early '70s Hotpoint dishwasher!

I'm looking to find an early '70s (ideally 1970 or 1971, but very late '60s would also work) Hotpoint built-in dishwasher to complete my kitchen. I'm located in WA State but would be willing to arrange shipping for the right one. Anybody know of one in need of a loving home?
