Hotpoint dishwasher

There's a Hotpoint HDA700-06HA for sale within a day's drive. Does anyone know what approximate year it dates from? My guess is mid 70s?

It appears to be a Model HDA700 from 1977.  It wouldn't be any older than that with the solid-color front panel.

A friend had that a in a house built in Arlington, VA in the early mid 70s. It got to where it would not clean anything so he took it apart and the sump was filled with broken glass. He cleaned it out and it started cleaning again. One would think that all of that broken glass would have been missed. It slowed down the water and the wash arm turned very slowly. I was not asked so I did not say anything. Of course, he used the cheapest store brand detergent so he had to rinse everything and wash rice off plates,

Saw that on FB from Spokane. There's a KitchenAid Superba in Lake Stevens if you are willing to drive a little bit further.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I see this model does show up in the 1977 catalog. It's a bit later than I was hoping to find but still tempting.

That KitchenAid is only minutes away but I have my heart set on a full set of Hotpoint appliances.

How difficult would it be to find a circa 1971 Hotpoint dishwasher?

These GE built

Hotpoints are much quieter than the old Hotpoint design, but those old Hotpoints do wash well.

It's here!!!

The "new" dishwasher is home! I didn't expect it to show up until tomorrow, but it was just dropped off. Looks to be in great shape. Will get some pictures after my husband moves it into the kitchen.

Pictures will be coming soon! It's happily sat in the dining room awaiting installation, after the horrible plastic leaky modern Frigidaire dishwasher gets removed.

Any recommendations for replacing the sound deadening insulation? It's quite dusty and grimy.
