looking for the modern equivalent of a vintage kitchen aid dishwasher

No that was true Maytag at the time. Whirlpool never came in the picture for Maytag until 2006. Then in 2006 when they bought out Maytag they continued Maytags design for the dishwashers, then made the point voyagers, and next came the last good generation of the Maytag dishwashers 2015-2020...

    new tide original scent

I agree I hate the new original scent. It’s not very good. The way it smelled before they changed it last was good, but was even better before in the 2000s. Everything was better in the 2000s, detergents, appliances, cars, ect

looking for the modern equivalent of a vintage kitchen aid dishwasher

I agree with combo I was just going to say the same thing. Find a Kenmore Ultrawash or Whirlpool equivalent, the Powerclean module dishwashers. Incredibly powerful dishwashers hence the name “powerclean” and notoriously reliable. They are everywhere on the used market. It’ll be a much cheaper...

Is there a market for better - but refurbished - portable dishwashers?

To be honest there isn’t a huge market for portable dishwashers and I don’t think it would be extremely successful. You would need the drain/inlet hoses that hook up to the faucet and you would need to sell the adapters for the faucet too, which are expensive, and there’s a lot of additional...

8 Reasons Using Liquid Detergent Is Better

I love liquid. It’s so much stronger scented and lasts in the fabrics, as far as Tide liquids go. They work so well too. When you clean your machine as often as I do there is no problem with it but I’m the one in a million.

Site layout/navigating the ‘new’ AW site

Well yesterday I couldnt find the different forums, deluxe, imperial, super, it’s now on the home page it wasn’t there before though. It was just showing a list of different threads and it was a mess. That was all, much better now. Although I really miss the old website and how old fashioned it was

So is this a permanent change for this website? Is this how it’s going to look from now on? This is really difficult to navigate

    Whirlpool VMW washer

How many threads about these washers do we really need?

Putting dish soap in a washing machine

When I have grease stains or body oil stains on anything I add a drizzle of dawn in addition to the tide. Really helps to cut that grease and or oil more than detergent will alone and I also pretreat with dawn. I use the bleach alternative lemon dawn but any will work. I don’t use too much cause...

    An update regarding life

I’m glad you’re getting it all taken care of and glad it wasn’t any worse for you! Tornados are no joke and it’s one of those things that you think will never happen to you, until it does. I’ve had two close calls in the last few years, we’ve had several tornadoes in Michigan lately and one...

What’s the best detergent for a Vintage dishwasher?

It truly doesn’t matter. Modern detergent is fine for any dishwasher. It’s not worth paying for overpriced detergent online when you can get good quality detergents from the store. Cascade Finish store brand products all work fine for a machine that uses more water.

Walmart great value version of Tide

They have it here in Michigan at all stores. It’s mixed in with the tide liquids.

Walmart great value version of Tide

Yes I will say that it doesn’t do as well on some stains at tide, but overall it’s a really good deal. It does smell a lot like how tide used to from years ago to me. Everything comes out of the dryer smelling beautiful and it does remove odors especially pet odors on my blankets.
