I wanted to check if anyone else has had this experience.

I started using Downy Rinse & Refresh in my Speed Queen awn432 top load washer and have noticed an issue. A little while after the load has finished, there’s residual amounts of the Rinse at the bottom of the tub.

I use about a tablespoon of Rinse & Refresh in the center funnel at the start of the cycle. I usually use Normal or Permanent Press with warm water setting and extra rinse. For washing, I use liquid Tide.

Has anyone else noticed some leftover Downy Rinse in their tub, maybe a day later?

The issue doesn't occur with other rinse/softener products?
I’ve only ever used a tablespoon of vinegar in the center funnel, and never noticed a problem. I’ve never used regular fabric softener. I’m now thinking the dispenser (and funnel) might be clogged and part of the problem.

The manual shows the dispenser can be removed, along with the internal funnel, but I’ve only managed to remove the dispenser. There was some soapy water and hair that came out, but I can’t get the internal funnel out to clean it thoroughly.

does your washer stop and fill all the way back up during the rinse on normal? I can’t remember if your model does what all the new queens do on the normal eco cycle, instead of filling back up and agitating for rinse it just spins at low speed while spraying the clothes with water, and then it stops and launches into final spin, so if that’s the case all the product in the fabric dispenser is getting drained.

If this is not the case, make sure your dispenser is clean and not gummed up so it’s able to release all of the product from the dispenser cup, check the holes in the agitator to make sure they are fully open and clear so the product runs right out. When the machine goes inti it’s first spin, the liquid in the fabric dispenser gets sucked into the inner chamber of the dispenser and swirls around until the tub stops for rinse and it drains down into the agirator and out the holes of the agitator.
