    SN info and more Ok, I found that the bearing is binding, the one ? above the trans and below the tub I suspect. I took the cover off the trans, and when the shaft is moving to agitate, the bearing is binding. I suspect water got past the seal and ruined it. I filled the area around and above...

    Yes, motor sounds good Yes, the motor sounds as if it's working, but the agitator doesn't move. But, if I move the agaitator with my hand a little, while it is supposed to be moving, it moves a little, as if it wants to move on it's own. But then it stops right away.

    I must admit I don't know if it's more than 20 years old...am I in the right section ? My wife overloaded it (AGAIN) and now it won't move when it's on the wash cycle. It appears that if I move the washer thingy a little with my hand, it'll -try- to wash but stop right away... I haven't looked...
