    Parnall Instruction Manuals

Parnall Auto-Dry I was lucky enough to find those same tumble dryer instructions for my Auto-Dry, which I also have scanned. Doug

    Kenwood dishwasher a1212

Great results Richard! I know our Kenwood always cleaned the dishes very well. Incidentally, my 'job' to help out, as a kid at the time, was to take the cutlery rack out at the end of the wash, and put all the knives and forks etc back in their respective places! Loving the 'Dream Scheme'...

    Kenwood dishwasher a1212

They were certainly made well into the mid 70s I think, as I remember my parents buying theirs new. I seem to recall they were being sold as some kind of offer with something (hence probably the reason my grandparents also bought one at the same time). My folks are still about, and I shall ask...

    Kenwood dishwasher a1212

Wow! Great find, and lovely to see this model of dishwasher again, after 30+ years! I grew up with this model, and I remember when my parents got theirs new (mid 70s). My grandparents also had the same model. Yes, very noisy machines indeed, Lol! I remember the 'roar' that they made as they...

    Parnall automatic washer

Wow! Lovely to see that spin washer! That's the first time I've seen close-up pics of one. It's the matching machine to my Parnall Auto Dry TD59 dryer, which dates from 1960. I'm glad that machine has been saved. Good job I hadn't seen it listed, or I'm sure I'd have been bidding on it! Doug

    EBAY UK FEBUARY

An old Parnall Auto Dry, identical to mine. It was a wedding present to the guy's parents, in 1959, and has the original instruction book with it...

Oh Sweet Mystery Of Life At Last I've Found You - Bamix M-122

I must get around to using my Bamix (an M100), which has been living in 'retirement' since being 'handed down' to me by my parents, some years ago! It's been in our family for as long as I can remember (over 45 years!). I was amazed when I stumbled across the Bamix stand a few years ago, at a...

    UK Ebay - November 2012

Some nice machines there, including the Zanussis. I've had my FL1023 for nearly ten years (it came with the house my parents are currently living in), and it gives excellent service, as does its tumbledryer 'partner'. :-)

    The House The 1950s Built

I got around to watching the programme last night. Lovely kitchen and appliances, and Mike, you were great! I wonder whether part 4 (the garden) will feature a Qualcast motor mower like mine! Regarding the mangle featured, it reminds me of a job I had in the late 80s/early 90s, when I managed...

    Zanussi Jetsystem ZFL1023 playing up

Sorry Tom, you're quite right. I just recognized the 'FL1023' bit, without noticing the rest! Mine is on a fast coloureds wash as we speak. It's matching dryer still gives good service too (when I'm not using the Parnall, that is!). I've seen the white facia version you mention. Nice looking...

    Zanussi Jetsystem ZFL1023 playing up

I also have this model. Excellent machine. Mine too was a hand-me-down, (9 years ago) and has given me no trouble. I hope you have managed to sort yours. Doug

    It's a Sony

A great Sony thread! Last year I bought a KV-1320UB from its first owner. She bought it new in August 1973. It came with its original manual and unused earplug! Certainly here in the Uk at least, this model is not uncommon, with at least one cropping up on Ebay every couple of weeks or so. I...

Doesn't this belong in the Science Museum? 50yr old tumble dryer!

Some great pics of other lovely old machines! Tomturbomatic, very true words indeed! I'm glad I'm not the only one to have had similar experiences with the press! It all came about as the result of my sending an email to my local radio station, doing a feature on old household appliances. I...
