1950 House

I watched it on catch-up TV last night and loved it, makes me want a twin tub. If only I had the room and a partner that would agree to a house full of washers and Vacuums. we have 7 vac's and 1 polisher and I'm working on getting a 2nd washer in the house.

I got around to watching the programme last night.

Lovely kitchen and appliances, and Mike, you were great!

I wonder whether part 4 (the garden) will feature a Qualcast motor mower like mine!

Regarding the mangle featured, it reminds me of a job I had in the late 80s/early 90s, when I managed an old tenement house in Southampton. The house was divided into 6 sections, with each section comprising of 5 rooms, a toilet/bathroom, and communal kitchen.
This building was a complete timewarp, with tenants who had lived there from the 50s/60s. Each kitchen was the same, and still had a mangle (the first time I can recall seeing one, come to think of it). The mangles were all identical, and I guess were bought at the same time, by the original landlords of the block. I so wish I'd taken some photos!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to more nostalgia, in the coming programmes!

I finally watched the programme last night. As soon as he opened the door to the washing machine delivery, I thought "I know that face!".

Well done Mike.
