    AEG Heater failure

Hi Saj6952, I have the same machine as you and only had it three months when the heater failed. My washing habits are much the same as yours, mostly 40c washes with a couple of 60c a week. I usually do towels and bedding on a 60c or 95c. The element they took out of mine looked identical to...

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Joe_In_philly: Water softeners aren't unheard of but they're not as common as you'd think considering how hard the water is around these parts. I think if these problems continue then it'll be something to consider. ozzie908: I thought the same thing about whether it was actually a new element...

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Well the engineer came today and ran a diagnostic. The heater was blown. He had it swapped out in no time at all but what came out of the machine surprised me. I regularly use Calgon and also run maintenance washes but the heating element was wrecked. The pics show it after i'd scraped a large...

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Update... ...well, three months in and the heater has blown :( I put a couple of pieces in this morning to steam and they came out bone-dry and still as creased as when they went in, i put them in again this afternoon and noticed after a while the the glass hadn't steamed up as it usually...

Hotpoint UK Washers & Dryers - 1st Automatic to final New Generation

Hass, I had the 95360 growing up and can confirm it did the same kind of step rinse/cooldown. In the vid you've shared the machine has some very short tumbles/drum bursts during the cooldown which i don't recall my 95360 doing, it would sit and fill before the pump would kick in and the...

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

AquaCycle, mine takes an average of 1hr40 mins to complete a 40c wash and around 1hr58 to complete a 60c. Wehen you start the machine it states the full time of 3hr42 but this always cuts down once the load is sensed.

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Hi! Its been a while since i've posted but, i have news that's worthy of adding! After about 4 years my LG gave up the ghost. The wash pump was making one hell of a racket and we found out the heating element had blown but had no idea when that had happened. We were lucky enough to get given...

    Miele Dishwasher

My Miele dishwasher uses different pressure not only for different cycles but during the same cycles. On the Intensive cycle you can hear the wash 'sloosh' sounds change as the pump pressure cycles between the top and bottom baskets. I've also heard slight changes in pressure during the Normal...

LG F1479FDS5 not heating...or is it?

Hi dyson2drums, Thanks for your response. When i checked the temp of the water it was cold, stone cold, not even heated a little bit so i knew it wasn't an issue with the wash temp being 5c or so below the stated. I also run the tub clean cycle at least once a month and always leave the door...

LG F1479FDS5 not heating...or is it?

Hi Guys, I've had my LG washer for 4 years now. Overall i'm pretty pleased with it but i've noticed an issue with it heating water...or rather it's not heating water. In the past i'm aware that if i tried to open the washer to add a forgotten item, or just to see what was going on inside, and...

    Hotpoint tumble dryer recall

Mine is affected too. I'm waiting for Hotpoint to contact me to arrange a repair. Does anyone know what the repair consists of? They did say it could take up to 5 weeks to get in touch because of the volume of repairs needed. Is there any way i can request a replacement? I've always been...

    LG TrueSteam, smelly steam cycle!

Hoping someone can offer some advice on here as I’m at a loss! I’ve had my LG TrueSteam for almost 3 years now, it’s been good going and overall I’ve been impressed with its performance. I use the steam ‘Refresh’ cycle quite regularly and for the last few months the machine has been smelling...

Possible fault with LG 9kg Washer

Ok, another issue... I put a load on this afternoon, normal sized load, 60c cotton cycle. The machine completed the wash portion of the cycle before going straight on to the final spin. No rinses, no fabric softener used. I'm now running it through a rinse and spin cycle. I'm starting to...
