    Some questions about Speedqueen toploader

Ours is the same. They only index until the brake pads for the tub brake get broken in. We have never had anything get caught under the agitator. The slow, long stroke SQ design is one of the gentler TLs on the market today. I don't think you'll find a better-built machine on the market...

    The Franken-Scrubber

That looks just like the '90 or '91 (I think) Filter Flo we had, except for a couple of things. Ours didn't have the Spotscrubber feature, and where that washer has the Spotscrubber cycle, ours had a Regular cycle with extra rinse. It was a good washer, up until the tranny failed a couple of...

    New dishwasher advice?

If you can deal with a standard height tub, search sears.com for 1344. That is a Kenmore dishwasher that uses the Whirlpool PowerClean wash module, which was introduced in 1984, if I remember correctly. Does a good job without taking all day to do it. This particular machine also has nylon...

    dishwasher replacement

We just got one of these a few weeks ago. It does a great job washing dishes, has nylon racks, and is decently quiet. You can definitely tell when it is running, but it isn't obnoxious. In case the link does not work, go to the Sears website and search for 1344. It comes in black, white, or...

    Dishwasher loading!

The thing is, this isn't a very loud dishwasher. You can definitely tell when it is running, and it is louder than the 12 year old Asko it replaced, but we don't have to turn up the volume on the TV in the next room if it is running. I thought that Whirlpool was going to continue to produce...

    Dishwasher loading!

This is true. What I don't get is that when we bought this (it's only about 3 weeks old), the other dishwashers we looked at used the about the same amount of energy, based of the yellow tags on them, yet the PowerClean is reputed to do a much better job. I have no experience with the newer...

    Dishwasher loading!

One cycle later, I came back to it to find a dishwasher full of clean dishes! Only thing left was a single grain of rice that managed to avoid coming off a plate, because it was blocked by a bowl.

The bottom rack- That big red bowl had a glass under it, and that large white bowl on the right side had a little glass bowl under it. Yes, it all came clean.
