    A806 repairs not going well

Don't make it harder than it is. Measure height of eyebolts from base and also the diameter. Cutoff rusted eyebolts with angle grinder. Go to ACE or other local hardware store, spend $5-$10 on new stainless eyebolts that are the closest match in size to old ones. Jobs a good'un. Bob

    Electrolux E59 E5A errors

A replacement MCU fixed it. The high speed spin and the dryer capacity is making the Maytag 5500's feel a bit puny. Loving the 617's so far and can highly recommend the clam shell lint filter upgrade if you have not done it. Bob

    Electrolux E59 E5A errors

Thanks, the service manual is odd. All 3 phases read 3.6ohm, harness has continuity from MCU plug to motor plug, all 3 phases are open to ground (motor case). The E5A is the one that bothers me, the MCU looks good, no bulging caps, no burnt traces or other signs of high current draw. I'll go...

What Is Your Preferred Detergent of Choice?

luxflairguy, sorry about that since I saw Ultralux88 talk about his big bucket of laundersol I figured the secco company detergents would be common knowledge, kind of like cascade fryer boil out for the dishwasher. Bob

    Electrolux E59 E5A errors

I need a little help with my latest project, a set of titanium 617's with pedestals. The dryer just needs a very deep clean and I have ordered the updated lint filter parts so next time I open it up there won't be enough lint/hair to make a spare dog. The washer however has had a hard life...

    KUDS23 problems

For anyone else who has similar problems in the future, it turned out to be the M001 timer motor. Used motor on ebay is $35 but found a complete NOS timer for $50 so should be back in business next week. The one I just picked up was a KUDC210S2 very clean tub but needs a door gasket and a wash...

    KUDS23 problems

I opened the door after approximately 10 minutes, the pump was still running and the wait light was still on. I figured it was either the switch or the timer but was hoping that what it is doing might point to one or the other. thanks

    KUDS23 problems

Dishwasher ended cycle last night with tub full of water. I hit drain button and wait light came on, it pumped out all the water but pump kept on running. If I hit any of the wash cycle buttons the drying light comes on and the fan runs, hit cancel and the fan stops the wait light comes on and...

    *RIP* Edward Woodward, aged 79

I always thought it was odd, Callan married to Frank Spencers old lady. To this day I cant see a bare light bulb and not think about the show. He will be missed. Bob

    The KD-19 that wasn't a KD-19

Well I did it the hard way and added a heater from a KDC-20 to my KDS-19. Bit of a pain to do since I had to cut the inlet from the bottom of the 20 tub and JB weld it on to the 19 since the inlet on the 19 is plastic and wouldn't take the heat. Also used a SSR to power the element triggered by...

    Need help with KitchenAid KDC-20

After months of looking, I finally found one 40 miles away on craigslist. Unfortunately the description was a little embellished. It does pump and drain but not well. I have taken the assembly apart and these are the parts it looks like I need to find. Support #29 - the white collar is...
