we also did have an idea on paper for a gas drying system, although that is unlikely to be added as the machine will already be quite complex from it's recirculation system and 3 motors
so, i suppose everyone here has had some crazy ideas, with some becoming a reality
many have thought of ways to make machines faster, better, even possibly creating their own custom machines from scratch using a production machine as a baseline
but i have no idea if anyone could create...
update:
after consulting with SeanA806, he recognised that the machine locked it's brake assembly up due to being sat for some time
the resolution was simple
give the tub a push to get the brake asembly freed
it worked and the beast roared to life, faster than i have ever seen a Maytag run...
hello lads, this one’s stumped me
I was running my Maytag MAT12 with a little bit of Citric acid and well……
Agitation was fine, splashy as anything
But when it came time for spin, it’s belts squealed, which is something it has never done before
I checked the machine with the lid open and...
Disconnect the NTC sensor. Turn the machine on while holding the start button, then rapidly press the start button 5 times and hold it, it’s the typical programming mode entrance procedure, it may have a code to enter the setting menu, try the code 125 to get in, if this does not work, try all...
Also on the subject of motors, the machine will keep its original motor
It’s currently wired for a 2 speed setup, but 3 would suit it better, I may need a wiring diagram or another motor for it at some stage in the project but that’s to think about later on :))
That’s so cool, I remember that sound from the vid, first drain after mainwash
Hopefully the beast works just as well on an Arduino, if not better :))
Best of luck
Matthew
it feels strange for that to roll off my tongue considering the work Robert originally put into his original “Nerd Project” Super Unimatic around 15 years ago, but here comes another chapter to the lineup from none other than myself
Me and my dad had an idea around a decade ago to start messing...
guess this is just another modern day crapshow now, not worth my time, money, or effort
i'll keep this account, but there's no point in putting much effort into posting or anything else really
after resetting my password and genuinely being able to see the modern décor of this site, i have to admit that i despise of it already
rather than paying 12 bucks a year, i have somehow found myself paying 96, which will soon stop as i think i'll go elsewhere, considering how big of a...

i watched it all the way through, the tub's balancing springs genuinely seem to be very innovative, along with many other features such as the machine technically not having a true outer tub, all in all it's a very interesting machine
i suppose another thing you could do is film a...
