hello lads, this one’s stumped me
I was running my Maytag MAT12 with a little bit of Citric acid and well……
Agitation was fine, splashy as anything
But when it came time for spin, it’s belts squealed, which is something it has never done before
I checked the machine with the lid open and this is what greeted me
(Apologies for the bad language in the video btw I was sending it to friends to make sure they knew my beast was out for the count)
I will say it could potentially be a belt issue, though the flick of the agitator and the strength of the agitation on wash makes me think they aren’t the issue
Nothing is stopping the machine from underneath to my knowledge
It could be the machine’s brake assembly, though I am highly unsure, the tub did turn counter clockwise with the usual amount of drag a brake assembly has
If anyone has any advice they could give me on fixing this beast I would appreciate it greatly
Thanks for reading
