Hi All:
Can anyone tell me about the new GE Adora top loader? it must be too new for reviews, can't seem to find any. My daughter needs a new set, just starting out and bought a new house and price is an issue. She wanted a front load but for what she can afford not so sure that is a good...
John, I don' t post very often but I have to say I love this machine. Just beautiful and clean. Congrats on a great find. I am fascinated by the 2 motor design. Does the spin motor have a higher RPM than the tumble motor? I don't see any clutch mechanisms. Also when the spin motor is enegized...
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all of Terry's family and friends. I obviously did not know Terry but from all the ardent testamonies and sincere, warm words, he was (is) a wonderful person and friend. Please know that although he may be gone he will not be forgotten and will be...
Appliancelou: What a cool machine. I dont't really pay much attention to dishwashers unless it's something very different and this Kaiser definitly is. Can you explain how it works? Does it actually spin the dishes? How fast does that go? I would think that could be dangerous for glassware...
Norge WD600
What a great looking machine and rare bird. Hi All, Happy Thanksgiving. It's been awhile since I've posted, just dealing with life as we all do, but still have lots to be thankful for.
Anyway, the brochure for the Norge combo says that it has a "simple and very effective...
Frigidaire coin laundry
When I was a kid in the 60's my grandmother had a house at the Jersey shore (Lavalette). There were several of these Frigidaire coin laundries up and down the main boulevard (Rt.35). The machines were always turquoise, had the round window and a very fast spin speed...

Thanks for all the information. If your machine is a 1966 and has only been out of service for the last few years, that's a damn good track record! How has it been in those 40+ years repair wise? It seems to be very well built but simply constructed. Are those the original motors? I...
The pics of the rebuild are great. Looks like she'll be back to super loads in no time. I'm trying to understand the 2 motor system...so the wash motor actually turns the shaft of the spin motor which turns the drum at wash RPM's through the pulleys on the spin motor shaft? The spin motor...
It looks like there are 2 drive motors judging from the "bump" for the capacitors. One looks to have the clutch mounted on the front. Is it one motor for wash and one for spin?
Mike: Congrats...that toy is way cool. I too would love to see the mechanism and how it works. Is it a crank operation? How fast do you need to go to get Rapi-dry spin? Could be a good cardio workout!
Just returned home from vacation and look what I see on AW! What an amazing (seems to be the most used word in this thread)find. Robert, you eiher have the luck of the Irish or the Vintage Washer God is watching over you. Way-to-go!
Certainly brings back memories of my Aunt Alice's 1964 BOL...
Easy Spindrier
That is a beautiful machine. I am looking for one just like it. I found one on CL farly nearby, but it did not have the fill and drain spigots (I guess you used a garden hose) and the asking price was $450. It looked to be in very good shape but would only accept $150. My Mom...
