GE FF agitator issues/request for new

Hey guys, I have two FF machines, both the exact model. One is missing an agitator (long shaft) but works fine. The other has an agitator but the boot is loose so obviously won't hold water. I have done everything I know to try to remove the agitator including penetrating oil x 1 week...

Strange things I see in houses with appliances

I have installed a couple of these microwaves. They are bolted to studs on the back wall, if memory serves me correctly. This is asking for an accident. I can't imagine how unstable it would be by just opening the micro door. Crazy people.

    Short shaft ge ramp agitator

Hey guys, I bought a replacement agitator for a FF washer and didn't realize it was a short shaft. I have no use for it. Does anyone want it? I think I've seen a few guys that collect agitators. It's yours free. If you pay shipping, that would be great. If not. No big deal. Mike

    GE FF agitator spline

Why to remove? Hi John, Thanks for the response! Long story so will save the details, but I have two FF washers, but one agitator. The agitator has a spline in it. The machine I am using has a leak around the boot that I can't get stopped. Replaced the boot, no luck. There's no rust in...

Hey guys, Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an old spline off the agitator shaft? I've done all I can think of, torch, clr, lubricants, all with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Mike

Son who loves washers and dryers

That's great! Debby, My gosh! How lucky your son is to have you for a mother! You need the mother of century award for supporting his fascination with appliances. I was the same way as a child but was pushed back and essentially was my family's punching bag for jokes and ridicule. Not so...

    Tide pod stain

Thank you Thanks to everyone who responded. I do have a front loader but bleach is dispensed in the 1st rinse, so don't think that the pod and bleach were exposed to each other too quickly. I tried a little CLR on one spot to see if it might be rust. No response at all. Bought the laundry...

    Tide pod stain

Has anyone else had an issue with these staining laundry? I read online that blue/purple stains are common but this is a shade of orange. Bleach was put in the dispenser, so I am assuming it's a chemical reaction. I put the pod in the tub before the quilt per directions. Tide's suggestions...

    GE FF Motor/Clutch advice please

Dry Run The machine still has the long start winding sound but is much shorter. Speed seems OK. I think I need to just take the belt off and start the motor, but with no load, it will probably perform well. I rebuilt a FF back in 1988. Brings back memories :) I appreciate your response!
