Can anyone tell me about the washer (or dryer...I'm not sure which) in this picture? I scanned this from a 1956 "Better Homes & Gardens Decorating Book."

Same Ad Yes, appnut, it's from the same ad. The washer/dryer part of the ad appears at the bottom of the magazine page. I figured since we've seen the top portion many times, that I'd just show the bottom portion.

I found this ad in a 1963 "Life Magazine." I thought some of you would enjoy seeing the ad.

"Washinsheen" Apparently, that's the way I pronounced it, when I was a toddler.

This sweet girl needs a loving home! She belonged to my aunt, who died last year. We inherited her when we bought my aunt's house. My partner, unfortunately is allergic to cats. Her name is Oreo....she came with that name, but probably wouldn't care if you changed it. Oreo is such a sweetheart...
