    Number PULEAZE! Part Seven:

Back in 1960, when this was our families Memorial Day to Labor Day summer camp our family had a phone installed. It was a 12 party line so you had to listen carefully for your ring. Fast forward to now and since I moved in here permantly 30 years ago, my phone number is the same one. Cell...

    Number PULEAZE! Part Seven:

When I worked for the phone company many of those nice old phones ended up in the trash. I rescued a good variety like 7 Trimlines in different colors including the rare orange plus desktop dial models with the amplifier and wall models. Some are hooked up and you easily can hear it ring outside...

    Interesting...

Sorry, but going anywhere on Facebook tells me to send a selfie to prove I am not a robot. I am NOT using a phone with a camera and my computer that I use does not have a camera, so no selfies. and no other way to contact the jerks so screw them.

    Interesting...

Facebook thinks I am a robot illegally trying to impersonate myself, so it wont let me go anywhere on it. just by trying to set up a new account using the e/mail I use now, not an old deleted one. Screw them, I dont need or want them.

    Home Emergency Lights

I was tired of the seemingly constant outages we experience here. I do have flashlights throughout the house. But after the big ice storm of 1998. I bought o portable generator, but it was a pain to fill, pull cord etc. 8 years ago I installed a Generac whole house generator and never looked...

People Are Waking Up To Vintage Appliances

My niece recently replaced her older Kenmore with an LG. The installer said to get her Smart Phone so she could work it from her phone. I would never consider that unless you just activated it and then it put the hamper full in the machine, added soap, ran the cycle then automatically put all...

    NYT on Induction Cooking

In 2018, I had a Generac generator installed as I was tired of the seemingly constant outages. Within 10 seconds of an outage the Generac jumps into action and runs everything in the house I need. I do use gas for cooking and will never go back to electric cooking and I use oil for my heating...

    Shipping containers (ocean freight)

A friend has got a smaller container for his workshop and added a diesel cab heater, using a larger tank and burning cheaper kerosene. Shop is always nice and toasty and bright with regular 120 .v. Have had thoughts of putting one of those heaters in my garage but why bother since its just used...

    Hot Wash Cold Rinse Cycle?

My Maytag 511 has hot, warm, cold wash temps. All rinses are cold, unless you set the timer back to wash to fill. In the middle of winter, my well water is frigid cold, so I might set it back to use warm on rinse.

Maytag Presents: Combination Convenience - 16mm Film

Lisa Douglass had a pink one on Green Acres, although I never seen her using it. Only the Haney metal drum powered by an old outboard motor that flung clothes all over the kitchen.

Kenmore Portable Roto Rack in San Antonio

I had one of the LK all push button Freedom Makers, bought from Sears from the Appliance manager, family friend, for $100 from a repo, Worked perfect for many years until the door panel screws dug a hole into the liner and basically ruined it.

    Cycle and Fabric Naming Conventions

I like my Maytags cycles, Normal, Delicate, Permanent press and thats it. None of that foolish labeling of sturdy, etc.
