Lady K washer with dryer on Seattle C/L

had it... I had that washer new when I was 13. I did the laundry in our family & talked my dad into the '67 LK. Anyway, machine pictured has no R-Flex,missing softener/bleach dispenser,AND the covering of the stainless lidded detergent dispenser makes me think it's f'd up or missing too. I...

    My Crazy Obsession

Shiny,Clean,& Bright... Saw the show tonight & ALL the appliances were displayed nicely in a clean, inviting setting. Both guys were fun to listen to,but Robert was a tad more engaging washer spokesperson. Glad the show came off so well. Maybe,if we put our collective machine love/abilities &...

Keep the '96 DD or Go for a new SQ TL?

stayin' Thanks for the interesting responses! The machines reside on the second floor in my rented townhouse. The movers(8/'11) dented in the top of the matching dryer's console, which I didn't see till they were gone. Oh,well. I would definetly KEEP the Kenmores, they have plenty of room in the...

Keep the '96 DD or Go for a new SQ TL?

Our '96 Kenmore 90 runs well & looks new, though it do vibrate on high spin a bit. I'm in a position to buy a new tol SQ top loader & wonder if I should or just repair the KM's when they break. I'm concerned that,by waiting,I may miss out getting a decent tl machine that still uses a good amount...

    Norge Burpilator

1960 Wish someone had pics of or actual Norge from 1960. My sweet mother, who just passed 12/19/11,had new tol '60 washer & dryer. Lighted console that stood on 2 chrome 'legs'. I've been a member here since 2007,visit frequently, but the '60 Norge is elusive.

    1963 Frigidaire!

Sorry I didn't mention in my earlier post, beautiful Fridgidaire! Now,thinking about that low-high spin speed shift,it DID go to high 1 timer click into spin. How about an empty tub, timer advanced into high speed speed spin segment,0-top speed video with good sound. I think many of us would love...

    1963 Frigidaire!

My mom had the '63 Imperial. Had the 3 ring agitator, not the 'Jetcone' shown here, which is a '64 ''improvement'' if I'm not mistaken. Always wanted to put the Jetcone in our washer, but, seeing it takes up more room and,to me,has less 'character',the 3 rubber ringed version is cool. I rememember...

Belt drive spray rinses: how are they timed?

Darren K,thank you for the vid(s). Your LK really sounds/runs good. Feel like I'm in the 'Time Tunnel' & went right back to an incomparable 60's Sears Washers/Dryers department. What a washer lovers dream they were! Without this forum,I think many of us would crack seeing/hearing nothing but...

Do you like the new Whirlpool logo?

I guess they're showing us what to expect from them & their products;less performance(weak whirpool)& less customer loyalty/interaction/service(weak/generic/classless lettering). But,compared to the state of the World in general,a non-issue.

    WP Imperial Mark XII set!

I had a white '67 Pontiac Executive Safari 9 pass wagon I bought off my dad. First year & model that Pontiac put woodgrain on a wagon. Sharp wagon. I have the dealer showroom picture of one like it. NICE 'era' WP set, though I'm partial to the '67 Ladies we had back then. 1967 was a kick-butt...

    Unique RCA Whirlpool Models

If my mom had not this exact RCA WP,with all its looks, sounds,& lights,I may not be the washer nut I've been for over 54 years.(started about 2 1/2 according to mom.) The '56 Imperial had it all!

    POD APRIL 7 2011

DD contented Our '96 90 series has never had a repair other than a new trans (under warranty) in the first 6 months b/c it would'nt neutral-drain 1/2 the time. Yep,you can murderize the clothes if you don't watch it. But,to get 15 years of service & the ability to roll over big loads if...

    Future Of Whirlpool Agitator Washers

I was at Mid-Rivers Mall Sears last night, looking at the KM version of Whirlpool's New belt drive. An older salesperson said that the WP rep was there the day before. The rep said that the ONLY Agitator type washers WP will be building are the 1 mid-level BD WP,1 mid-lvl BD KM,1 mid-lvl BD...

The new agitator toploader from Whirlpool arrived in my basment this morning!

1 wash or 2? Does this washer have 2 wash speeds or 1? I'm thinking of getting the Kenmore version of this, but definetly need at least 2 speed. Our 3 speed '96 KM 90 series DD is still working/looking good, but the spin vibration seems to be getting worse. It's on our main floor here as opposed...

F&P Smart Drive making banging noise

well,ok then! Good to hear they DO hold up. Do you guys have the agitator or impeller type?

F&P Smart Drive making banging noise

uh... I'm sorry, but going by this pic & others I've seen of F&P's,they are VERY cheaply made for what you pay.IMO. Can't bring myself to spend the money on one, even though the agitator style KM branded intrigued me for awhile.
