Need a new grill. Here we go again!

Malcom The pellets are sold in most bbq-type retailers. The major home centers (hd & blowes) just sell them online. I have a Bass Pro 35 min in 1 direction and a massive Cabelas 30 min in the other direction. They both carry the pellets in stock. I also have a stove dealer near me that...

Need a new grill. Here we go again!

No problem. I ended up getting the 126 model that's designed to be built-in (no cart). The picture is of the 125 model with the cart. This model retailed at about $1899-1999. I bought all three used ones for under $600 total (for all 3!) I'm going to keep one for parts, refurb one for my...

Need a new grill. Here we go again!

My Charbroil gas grill did not last more than 4 or 5 years before the burners rotted out. It's a shame because it did cook well on high heat, but absolutely was horrid on "low" (ie did not really go low at all). I usually love to use charcoal instead anyway. BUT.....I was at a commercial...

    Moving a washer

You may get a little oil come out of a breather hole on the tranny. That's no big deal. Tape the lid shut so it doesn't 1) damage the control panel & 2) swing shut and break the lid switch. Other than that, it's no big deal to lay these over.

There is a light at the end of the Maytag Bravos tunnel!!!

My local rdc shows 0 in stock of the mvwb725, but there is a box to check "the factory." There appears to be over 900 in stock there.

The Inevitable has happened - No more WP agitator washers...

I recently got in my new models with these new "agitators." I haven't hooked any up to watch the action yet. Even the low-end Amana has the new agipeller and is listed as "HE."

Speed Queen Front Load Washer Help

We are a Maytag dealer. We are a "self-servicing" dealer. That means when someone calls that bought elsewhere, I do not have to service that product and sometimes it means if I do an unauthorized warranty job on something not bought here, I don't get paid. The reason that a lot of...

auction coming up, toasters, ironers, etc LOOK

I just came across this auction. It's in Hellam, PA outside of York & Lancaster, PA. If you're into toasters, coffee pots, etc LOOK>>>>> MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT PHOTOS IF YOU'RE INTO THIS. I'm too busy and it ain't my cup o' tea (so to speak!!). CHECK IT OUT if this is your thing. Well...

    The buzzards will swarm soon

They're closing the Sears store here in this round of closings. They'll start the liquidation sale on Oct 31. We've had a Sears here since the 1930's when they were more a catalogue store on main st. On one hand, I feel for those that will lose their jobs, that part is tough. I heard in...

Maytag Performa/Herrin transmission oil seal question

John, I believe these brakes are supposed to be dry. If they have oil, it's coming from the tranny. As for the motors going up in smoke, that really hasn't been what we've seen with these washers. It's usually the pump going bad, seizing up and smoking the belt. In turn that smokes the motor...

    ATLANTIS DRYER

We've replaced quite a few of these timers for this exact problem. That's the direction I'd lean.

Asked to take delivery for house next door

If it was me & I did not know the neighbor, I wouldn't sign for it. Too much liability on the signer's end. However, where I live out in the country, I'd sign for 2 of my immediate neighbors. I know them well. Some of the other folks, I have never met (the places are rentals and I'm on a...

All ready have turned the heat on

I'm hoping to not turn the heat on until October. I like the house a little cool to sleep and I'm not home during the day. My pooch would rather it be cool as well. He really hates the hot & humid weather. I just ordered propane about five minutes ago. When I filled the tank in February...

The All Important Summer BBQ Poll

I mostly use charcoal. I have a New Braunfels pit that I love, but after over 15 years of hard use, it's about to be retired. For quicker charcoal cooks, I'm using a POS cheap small kettle grill. I always use a chimney to light the coals. Lowes had a special last labor day on Kingsford...

    1-year old Whirlpool Dryer rattling

Whirlcool, there is no rear bearing on this model. It uses felt on the rear of the tub for a bearing-type application. Also, there are no drum glides. I think you have this confused with a Frigidaire-type dryer. I've heard plenty of these make a sound like what is being mentioned. I don't...

It has been brought to my attention (final post)

I wouldn't let those that complain about your pictures get to you.  Just be yourself.  Who cares what others may think.   Look at me.  I am a single, hetero, republican (but lean more to the libertarian on a host of things).  If that isn't the antithesis of the majority of members here I don't...

Fuel Cost Caculator For Home Heating

One of the guys I eat breakfast with just got his annual supplement of nut coal to back up his oil furnace.  His cost for 1 ton was $235 with a $50 delivery charge added on top of that.

Fuel Cost Caculator For Home Heating

John/Combo, they probably do not own their own tank.  Most propane companies charge more to fill their own leased tanks then if you own your own tank.  It's sounds counter-intuitive, but it's the truth.  Also, if you lease your tank, you are obligated to buy the propane from the company you...

Fuel Cost Caculator For Home Heating

Propane is closer to $3 a gallon than $2 I just got the 500 gallon tank fueled up for the winter & it cost me somewhere around $1.80-1.87/gallon iirc.  We're close the the anthracite region and a bunch of folks around here use coal.  We used to, but it can be dirty.  Coal dust can get...
