Jerome, not half bad. The machine used 7.1 gallons of water on the Heavy Cycle and 7.3 on the turbo cycle. I wonder if this number would go up if the turbidity sensor detected soil, which I am assuming you machine has. A Power Clean with Wash-Rinse-Rinse would be at 6.75 gallons of water.

I don't think the cement floor would be an issue. Of course, you could always add some type of flooring to make it look finished or fancy. And to aid in cleaning up spills. It is up to you. However, one of the first things I would do is secure a new washer and dryer. The rest can be figured out.

I noticed this washer doesn't have a temperature selection knob. Are the temps built into the cycles? Or is there only one pre-determined temperature?

I can't thank you enough for finding this and posting it. With that said, I give my criticism for a lot of flawed assumptions through out. Like the assumption of an 60*F cold inlet.

Whirlpool and Maytag did, 1/3 HP. It was when the tall tubs came out that motor started to decrease.
