    POD 10-10-23

I believe this one could be from 1967, 1968 or 1969.  GE advertised the V-14 models in 1965 and 1966.  They advertised V-16 in 1967 and 1968, but in the literature that I have they didn't use numbers in 1969, they claimed 'Huge Capacity" models.  In 1970 they introduced the 18-pound models.  I...

    POD 10-10-23

No light on this one.  At this point in GE time, only the 'Americana' models had the fluorescent lamp, and they had an additional hood that housed it.   lawrence

A real estate listing in Mobile, AL

Bob, This is a strange RE market.  It's not uncommon to find houses that were built in the early 1970's without carport or garage - just a driveway and a parking pad next to the house.  I suppose garages are 'standard' today with new construction, perhaps that's due to smaller lots and larger...

A real estate listing in Mobile, AL

The listing says that this house was built in 1969, and I guess that's about right, considering the location.  It appears to be quite a time capsule left behind by the original owner(s).  Most interesting is the avocado D&M dishwasher in the kitchen.  There's not a clean shot of the control...

    Gold GE dryer

Correction - Reply No. 1 I misspoke in my post.  This model was not introduced until 1978, not 1977.  And it probably continued through 1980, maybe 1981.  I can't verify the stop date.   lawrence

    1976 GE Filter Flo

I know this one well This model was the first washing machine that I owned.  I really liked it; and had the matching dryer.  Mine were white.   Correction - I just realized that mine had a third speed combination, so all three of the toggle switches had 3 positions.  The options were N/F...

    New Refrigerators

Thanks Glenn,  you are correct.  I do not expect to buy a new ice box this week, but expect that sooner or later, it will happen.  I don't like this one, so I know I'm just looking for an excuse to get rid of it.  However, I'm not looking for an excuse to spend money.   Eddie, that's exactly...

    New Refrigerators

Yesterday I realized that my ice maker was no longer working.  I walked into the kitchen and smelled something getting hot, checked the stove and smelled all around; opened the freezer and saw that the bucket was almost empty and that the arm on the maker was somewhat frozen in its upper...

Some era GE filter flo - Texas

And what is the asking price?  I'm foolish enough to believe that most of what's on the console would be polished out.  The results might not me 'like new' but would be nice looking.   lawrence

Some era GE filter flo - Texas

Ken, I suspect that you're correct and was already wondering about that possibility.  The colors are correct for 1963, but the color placement is not.  Use up those parts!!!!   Single speed, two cycles, two wash temperatures., three water levels.  Designer color.   lawrence

Some era GE filter flo - Texas

Ooohhh - it's PINK!  Fairly basic, maybe a WA-550 but not sure about the year.  Possibly 1962, possibly 1963.  So BOL it doesn't show up in my information.  Maybe Ken can offer more information.   lawrence
