Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Midline 1976 Ge Filter Flow washer

Hi Melvin, I remember these machines well I figure the best era for GE was about 1968 till about 1980 for these washers before the quality started going south on the Filter Flow machines.

I worked on many of these, but I always refuse to sell rebuilt Filter Flow‘s. They were just too unpredictable to much chance of oil ruining the clothing walking, swallowing, small socks, etc. and generating service calls also couldn’t stand the way when they went out of balance tub with crash into the outer tub tearing up the porcelain on it.

But definitely a worthy keeper, for a serious appliance collector, we have four Filter Flow machines in the museum project, the 1964 sink combination V 12, 1966 four-speed, top-of-the-line model, the 1977 Dispensall, Filter Flow, and last we have the GE spot scrubber.

I know this one well

This model was the first washing machine that I owned.  I really liked it; and had the matching dryer.  Mine were white.

Correction - I just realized that mine had a third speed combination, so all three of the toggle switches had 3 positions.  The options were N/F, N/S, G/S.  The model number was possibly WWA 7070.

That was my mothers first washer and I loved it she gave it to my grandmother after a timer issue and she finally killed it. i have been searching for one like it. Does anyone have a video of one operating? I remember the sound of that machine. Thanks for the fond memories.
