New Speed Queen Models Coming Soon!

I've been saying till I'm blue in the face that freedom, beliefs, along with individuality, is being controlled to such an amount by the manipulative powers of things like corporate greed, political pressure, and centuries-old teachings. When they say that America is the land of freedom, or for...

New Speed Queen Models Coming Soon!

Sadly, not everyone is like you......... or me. A large part of that is because of widespread social conditioning, believing that "new is better". And attaching society to a handheld device, encouraging the use of Apps, turning people into addicted puppets, lazy, with claims of "convenience"...

    Vintage Appliance Advertisements: Part Thirty-one

Nice! That little Acme recorder also is a 3" reel toy. I've had several "full size" stereo machines over the years. Right now, I have an Akai 4000D, a compact sized RTR that plays impressively through my Technics system. They are rugged machines with quality performance, and reliable too. Even...

    Vintage Appliance Advertisements: Part Thirty-one

Those little reel to reel tape recorders are so cool. They remind me of the original TV series "Mission Impossible" where the opening scene shows "Mister Phelps" getting his instructions from a recorder. I managed to get my hands on one a few years ago, in perfect cosmetic condition, and had to...

    NORGE 20lb SET

I remember making mud pies in the back yard, scooping spoonfulls of mud on the bricks in the sun. And then laying on my back on the lawn and watching the clouds, and imagining what they looked like - while I was waiting for my pies to get done. Jeez, the silly things we all did as kids! I could...

1950's GE fridge compressor teardown and failure analysis...

David, thank you for that very informative video! You obviously have the knowledge and experience for that type of work. I never saw the insides of one of those things, again, thanks for that. I've got a 1987 GE 18 cubic foot fridge that's still going strong, and I do my best to clean the...

    NORGE 20lb SET

LOL! Great reply Eugene! I never could understand why kids in grade school talked about eating Lepage's Paste. I knew what it was for, and thought it was silly to eat. I always was one that didn't want or like to follow the crowd. By the way, you're in Idaho, how come my local supermarket...

    NORGE 20lb SET

As you all must already know, a washer can only filter some of the loose lint during agitation. And the dryer is what collects most of it. The reason is, of course, the damp clothes, etc, are still loaded with lint that natually adheres to the damp articles. It's only by drying, tumbling, that...

I loved that movie! And just the other day I saw on TV (for the hundredth time) Baby Jane Hudson. Patti Page did a wonderful rendition of Hush Hush's theme song too. Take a listen...

    NORGE 20lb SET

I didn't think so. My Maytag doesn't filter on low water level either. But I rarely use that setting, mostly medium, large, or extra large.

I believe that GE was one of the sponsors of the show. So naturally, there's be some GE appliances as props. I know that the dining room had a GE console stereo in there.

    NORGE 20lb SET

I watched the video. I don't like that type of filtering design at all. And how efficient would it "burp" with a low water level? It does have a nice fast draining before the spin, but that's it. :( :(
