    Thanks John - I will take out the inner tub and inspect it as my next step. It seems to be a larger hole so once apart I will decide which way to approach the problem.

    It is truly a hole Thanks for the help, unfortunately it is actually a full blown small hole in the tub toward the rear left on the bottom, I am thinking I can patch it but will need to first take out the inner tub to take a closer look and see what is going on.

    She's a beauty Quite a basic model KUDM220TO I believe manufactured in November 1989. Almond panels flipped to black, I need to repair a few ever so minor rust spots on the racks. Overall I would have to say I am quite smitten.
