Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hey Eddie, that's an awesome Maytag save!! Harvest Gold just suits those machines beautifully, doesn't it?? I know they have gone to a good home for sure. Can't wait to see the next find!!

Eddie,

I showed my wife the pics you took of your new beauties, and even she was impressed at how nice they look inside and out. She couldn't believe that someone would get rid of these for something newer. She said that woman doesn't know what she got rid of, and that her new set won't last near as long. The only thing she would've preferred was that they should have been avocado.

This comes from a woman who is not that easily impressed with vintage things like I am.

nuthin' better

than seeing someone get their dream machine even if it is a Maytag ** chuckle, chuckle**, especially off in the woods...it's so up beautiful. What part of the Cape is that? Last place I stayed was Truro.

Up in the thread you mention firing up the Unimatic. Did you replace the valve or cap off the bad inlet? Just curious.

Drew,

Soon, very soon. lol I'm slowly getting her convinced that oftentimes older appliances have alot of life left in them with just some basic maintenance and TLC.

Hey Mike

I live in Barnstable Village on the North Side of the Cape.

The Unimatic is running just as fine as fine could be. For now, I adjust the flow rate and temps through the Valves on the wall. This is working out just perfect for now.

Thanks, I love Cape Cod. It's been a few years, though

My 56 works just like your WO. Like you, I'm perfectly content with it. After all, the choices are so limited. Hot or warm wash, and that's it! With our set-up you can get a cold rinse, and if need be, a cold warshing too, or cool or medium, an infinite temperature control. I have no plans to change it.

Stop it! Stop it! You're killin me. I have never liked harvest gold, but those are purrrty. Your new coppertone set is more to my liking, but that TUB LIGHT...

Hey Keith

I never liked Harvest either. I am a fan of the old "Sunny Yellow". But now most of Yellow sets and appliances are gone, Harvest has really grown on me. I guess it's the last grasp on Yellow. Until all those Cookie Cutter Kitchens are gone.

For Example : Stainless Appliances, Granite Counter Tops, Cherry Cabinets, Hardwood or Ceramic Tile Floors, etc.etc.etc.

I just cooked in my Dad's New $50,000.00 Kitchen with all Bosch Appliances... The Ovens Sucks, The Glass CookTop Sucks, and the Dishwasher is right with the First two. They have a GE Profile side by each fridge and that is Horrific too.

But this day and age, You need a "Top Rack" cycle, as all that there is to wash is Glasses when it's not a Coffee to Go comtainer and your Sub Zero is filled with a weeks worth of Take Out StyroFoam

Nice lighted shots Eddie!

At first I didn't care for harvest gold either, but it has an eerie way of growing on a person rather quickly!
