    1959 GE Filter Flo WA-650S

New to me Filter Flo (and my first one)! This popped up on one of the vintage appliance groups on Facebook, and it wasn’t far from my partner’s home in GA. I called and the shop owner was out, but didn’t feel comfortable with their associate doing a credit card transaction with their new...

Did most Maytag generations look older than they were? If so, what years/decades did they fit more?

The 1966 Maytag design should’ve debuted for the 1958 model year, only with the gold glass design, and wider chrome banding. The 58-65 would’ve been great for the 1956-57 models. The ‘66 design (as issued) should’ve hit around 1963/64, the gold should’ve replaced the blue in ‘67/68, and the...

    FREE Maytag set

Jil1000, unfortunately, you’d need a donor control panel from a higher end machine. It’s usually easier to find the entire machine than just the control panel.

Can anyone identify this mystery dryer?

We have one of those! We have a '57 version of this dryer that we've never been able to get work. It runs, but it always overheats and shuts off.

    1959 GE Range

I'm trying to figure out what's going on here...this is a little different than my '57. It looks like there's a hole on the left side, like it may be missing a switch for the inner/full coil split, but it doesn't look like there are sensi-temp controls (which on mine is tied to the sensi-temp...

    DE806

Ugh, if only I could figure out an easier way to make the 13 hour trip for that from Georgia…it totally matches the washing machine!

Does anyone have the “A” button for a 1965 Lady Kenmore they’d like to sell?

I’m missing the one on my control panel.

    Maytag DE806

If it’s that early…it would be a mate to an orphan 806 that we have! I messaged the seller.

Any interest in a lead on TOL 1961-63 Turquoise GE Washer-Dryer in Michigan

That’s my absolute dream set of GE’s to match our range and refrigerator. I will be passing g through Michigan soon.

What is your favorite washing machine?

My favorite set would be a 1957 Charcoal Frigidaire Custom Imperial Set. Honorable mentions are really hard, because I’m torn between performance, appearance and reliability.

    Vintage Lady Kenmore Dryer

Long Shot... Did anyone here buy this dryer?

    Maytag 142S

That price seems crazy high for an untested washer with cracked glass. If anyone wants it, It's probably 15 miles from my house, and I have a 641C Dryer that I'm pretty sure would match that I'd be willing to part with!

    Stoves for my house

I vote for the GE Americana Although the Flair is neat, you do compromise oven size, and the 30” models only give you a single oven. We recently installed a ‘63 GE Americana, and love it. You can still fit a pretty sizeable pot on the front Sensi-Temp burner and that thing is amazing. Having...

    71? Kenmore washer Detroit

Bummer it looks like it will be sold. I messaged the guy about the machine, because Dave (Volvoguy87) has the matching dryer and it would be nice to complete the set. But hte seller said someone was coming from Saginaw this weekend.

SELL ME YOUR MAYTAG DOOR SEAL

@qsd-dan I'd certainly be willing to pay $120 for a door seal if it was the difference between being able to repair and use my dryer vs not. And having a couple of backups would alse be desireable. I think we have 4 of those dryers in the current inventory.

After way to many years my laundry room is back together! Westinghouse’s and Maytag’s!

Lawrence, regarding the floors… It is real slate, just like the kind that was so popular after the war, into the 60s. It’s still readily available! http://www.vermontslatedepot.com/floor.html

    1950s 40" stove Elgin, IL $1900 worth

I had a 1953 Magic Chef like that, it cooked beautifully, and I paid $50 for it. The replacement burner admittedly did cost more than the range, but sum total was less than $150 for a flawless working unit.

1962 Maytag bleach dispenser seal question

To temper the good news on the Maytag dryer the ‘61 or ‘62 Washer is currently having an issue that we have yet to be able to fix. The seal on the bleach dispenser was absolutely shot, and we’ve bought and created a couple of O-rings, slipped a rubber rand around the indentation underneath the...
