If you look at many pictures of earlier "Grey Ghost" machines, many of them seem to have a slight greenish cast (I don't know if they also do in person) but it's plausible that someone could mistake that color green as being a logical transition to the next model, particularly on a wringer...

Remember the earlier Prius recall? The one where the cars would slam themselves into Park at speed, and you couldn't shut them off? That happened to our roommate. I'd rather have direct mechanical links with my car, and take my chances on my driving abilities.

Those are some amazing acanthus decals! I have the same machine, 1886 with Ottoman Carnation decals, but some of the bobbin winder components are missing. If I could find some of those needles, I'd try using it. I hate when parts become obsolete long before the machines wear out! Wes

Do you by any chance know what that part number was? Ours was completely nonexistent.
