I remember that FS dispenser. It was the neatest thing, but it took up so much space, it was hard to load the clothes with it on. My mom would throw a fit it we took it off.

Congrats Martin! That is a great warranty. Mine is from Sears had more than paid for itself on my POS dishwasher. My fingers are crossed for Geek Squad extended warranty. Lowe's, I will look into it when my dishwasher is out of warranty, and looking for another one.

I had a coupon so I paid $1.99 for mine. Now I will see how it goes. I used the stuff in the '90s all the time. Then I had kids, broke out from the stuff. Now I will see if it is different. I'm a Tide girl, but this stuff was on sale.

I was talking about what was under the softener dispenser. I would pull it out, and would try to clean it with vinegar or anything I could think of. When I changed the agits, I would soak the cap in hot water to remove the gunk. I don't use fabric softener in the washer anymore.

Thanks for the clarification. It makes more sense why people used these combo's. I seem like it would cost an arm and a leg to use these appliances now, without spinning the water out of the clothes before drying.

From what I heard Utilities were cheap, washer & Dryers were expensive. I could not imagine using something like this as a daily driver. It's a cute machine though. Of course I think people that used these machines hung clothes out on the line most of the time, and used the dryer part when it...
