You don't need it to be avacado. All you need is to find a regular trash compactor and paint it avacado.

Your dryer is overheating. The motor drives the drum and the blower. Either the electrical connection is loose or the motor has shorted in the windings.

Is the drain clogged or kinked? Is the pump broken? Is power getting to the pump? Timer bad? If I were you, I would check these first.

WOW....... AMAZING restore!!!! Our 74 Kenmore bit the dust. EVERYTHING in that was metal was rusted COMPLETELY together. We could get the top off, but after that , you're in the hole.

why don't you make a simple control box for it ? If you don't want to wait for the computer to start up, why don't you make a a simple control box where you have all the control switches like motor, heater, drain pump,etc? that way it will be easier to operate [to me]. Cheers!
