That history precedes me but maybe another member can clarify.
I think ISE wanted to offer a dishwasher line, but instead of create their own, they partnered with Hobart.
Which made sense to me. Only Hobart then, had that neat stainless steel disposal/drain impeller.
You’re not reading anything we’re saying apparently.
I don’t want you to actually go away. I actually find insider info from technicians quite interesting.
But posting all the broken machines you get over and over is NOT interesting.
Idk why you keep doing it.
There were a few other posts...
STOP reporting every freakin model number you’re “working on” then. I have enough stress at my own work.
Your data is pointless without any constructive context. You’re wasting your time!
If you’re going to present us with charted or graphed data by make and model, of issues, fine. Or doing...
Quite the contrary. inSinkErator is the last “good” brand left. All US made still.
They made some recent changes to their grind chambers. Making them a little smaller, but they still have models with 2, 3, and now 4 grind stages.
I just realized, the only USA appliance motors I think we still make are in InSinkErators. Who is owned by Whirlpool now.
They’re still vertically integrated AFAIK.
I feel like modern day suspension washers could really benefit for a snubber like that belt drive has in the corner there. It would probably work wonders on all the balance issues today.
I’m pretty sure Emerson got out of the appliance motors business a while ago.
It probably wasn’t Whirlpool’s choice to ditch them.
Most motors are not made in the USA anymore. That ended a while ago.
GE Motors was spinoff into Genteq which also got bought out. All manufacturing moved to China...
Today, another division emailed me about getting some caps for our products we use for shipping.
I put a warehouse order in, and am waiting for the caps to be delivered to my desk by Kevin, the warehouse manager.
So…. You don’t know that most if not all washers are now Auto Temperature Controlled?
If you’re local water is too cold, the ATC will adjust to add hot water so your “cold water wash” is at least 65deg F so detergent can work best.
TAP COLD is the setting that will get you the temp of whatever...
How do you have time to even repair all these?
And what’s the point reporting every single one?
I can act like this too.
Here’s everything I did at work today:
Started working on Engineering Change Request 12345.
- reviewed all tasks and marked some n/a.
- delegated drawing creation by...
A friend of mine blew out her suspension rods in a Maytag VMW in about 4yrs.
But she’s known not to load it right and wash lots towels and comforters.
While my parents’ MVW765 is going 7yrs strong with good damping in their rods still, last I checked.
John, are you not seeing an uptick in control board/water level sensors, or drain pump failures in your service area?
There’s even a service pointer out on those.
I hear it’s a lot …. Though I cannot confirm.
Further context from my last comment. There are 4 VMWs in my sphere. One is a...
I have this fight all the time with my pharmacist dad.
He’s always complaining about how everyone is sick and miserable and hopped up on drugs.
Duhhh that’s who you deal with in the daily.
You literally DON’T see the healthy people.
It seems like some of you here are only seeing the broken...
Wow. So much evidence that many of you on here do not pay attention to washers built after 1995 or something.
Practically every washer for sale today, above budget model, has various soak cycles and schemes already.
This is not earth shattering.
