What brand is this dishwasher please.

cup with the perforated metal cover The good thing, Tom, is that they only offered that for one year, 1965. I think it was their attempt to avoid the detergent from being washed away before the actual wash action began. That was a problem on the spin-tube units that began the cycle with a...

    Who built it

Yes I agree That’s why I knew those later Frigidaire dishwashers were D&M built, the cast iron housing. The Tech Talk shows the different (from GM) housing.

    Who built it

D&M built Frigidaire model They offered that weird hybrid D&M model with the Frigidaire wash-arm in the 1967-68 top-load models. Everything above the pump housing was the GM style, but the housing I believe was cast iron and not plastic. Definitely the one that PhilR has falls into this category.

It was me that questioned your comments. There is so much bad information on those Facebook vintage groups, like “my 1947 Flair”. Argument? I simply asked for more proof than “so-and-so told me”. I also want accuracy with my comments, which is why I challenged you to provide back-up...

model numbert location Open the door and note the chrome paanel across the bottom front. It is hinged, so you need to pop it forward. It may have some grime holding it in place so you can pry with a putty knife. There's a fellow on the Flair Facebook group that parts out Flairs and he might be...

Looking to buy seventies-era dishwasher in good working condition Midwest/Illinois

We 86'ed the OTR microwave Ralph, when we moved here 9 years ago and wanted to redo the kitchen, we decided against an OTR Microwave. I wanted a decent exhaust hood over the gas cooktop. We use the micro to defrost, reheat and cook frozen veggies and oatmeal. We ended up with this Sharp that...

Something Unusual About the Cycle on this 1963 Westinghouse Dishwasher

Dishwasher wall Tom, I remember seeing a pic of yours after one of the gatherings. They made that model in 1965-66 as a basic unit. I bet they made a bunch as I have an ad for them stating "1968 close-out sale". When they introduced the drop door models in 1963, they still offered a pull-out...

Something Unusual About the Cycle on this 1963 Westinghouse Dishwasher

This dishwasher Tom I think this dishwasher is a little unusual. When Westinghouse had the little screen cup detergent dispenser, they had a wash and 2 rinses. When they advanced to the tilt out dispenser, they offered a double wash. Wash, rinse, wash and 2 rinses. I did find that some of the...
