Our BOL top-loader Hotpoint... does have a 3 water-level selector, 2 pc agitator, and water temp selector, however it's about 8 yrs old, so not sure if new ones - post GE sale - are the same. Model HSWP1000 M4ww. Iirc it was about their cheapest model at the time, around $329. Doing OK so far...

2015 TL Hotpoint HSWP1000M4WW fairly BOL model washer, bought new, making some sort of light metallic clanking noises (not always) while in agitation mode, no other issues, still works/cleans fine otherwise. Has 2 piece agitator with screw action top and straight vanes on bottom. Ideas anyone?

mini-splits have worked great for us, we have Mitsubishi and Friedrich units in our VT place and a Mitsubishi unit in NY (recently installed). The VT units have worked perfectly for 5 yrs, and with their inverter technology are super economical, far more so than central or regular heat pumps...
