longevity? how about our 1966 Zenith 21" color TV, last of the "roundie" screen models. All hand wired and all original except for caps replaced, and still works great... yes, the Quality went in, and the Name is still on!

panel interchange...? I don't believe panels will interchange between KA 15 and 23 series models, iirc the door and lower panel sizes are different. My 17 series panels wouldn't fit on the 18 series we've had.

Consumer Reports long term reliability data, highly respected, has rated VW-Audi models as generally below average in reliability for a very long time and I doubt anything has changed. Repairs and parts in the US also tend to be expensive. If you want reliable and durable it's Toyota, then...

GE had the same burner arrangement on our '61 30" range, also in red, the LF one being Auto Calrod.

1958 GE range... ww have the 40" version in canary yellow. These are great performing ranges and well worth the effort. Many parts are available but Auto Calrod parts are scarce and as it's is often a problem area conversion to standard operation is the usual answer.

18" dishwashers... we have 2, there's not much choice as virtually all are made by Danby. Ours are labeled GE and Frigidaire, they work decently, but they're no Hobart KitchenAid or Whirlpool Power Clean, that's for sure
