Is there anyone interested in a 1972ish Kenmore 800 that is currently located in the Milwaukee, WI area. The appliance is in fairly good condition and works. It isn't the money, I just don't need it and don't want to see it go to the crusher. I hope someone can use/pick it up/have it shipped...

lint filter cleaning my mother also had a 1976 emperial set with sudsaver and the oval scrub brush like lint filter and we had this stainless steel comb for cleaning. Yuck, what to do with that lint.

My new baby, a compact DD 87 washer, is going right into spin without stopping to drain. Now I have fixed DD's before. Not alot I admit. I had one where it would not spin at all even though the motor ran and had to replace a part attached to the spin tube, the "driver, brake cam" part # 64194...

It's SO PINK ! The Pinkness would most likely be consider offensive in todays market. But it is PINK none the less. I almost like it. It is amazing how long that 29" design lasted, with a different console as time went on. If 1956 was the first year of the squared body, it lasted 30 years...

and the inside mini agitator seems to work good. But the machine goes right into spin. So I will have to replace ? It's worth it.

Toast and Platinum Toast and Platinum(lite gray) was offered through Sears, GE, and Whirlpool, in about 1984. I don't know if other manufacturers offered these cool colors. They didn't give it much time. Only like 3 years. What a shame

GE electronics All but a few of the cheapest GE top loading washers have electronic timers. Don't be fooled by the knobs with the thin chrome like strip. If the washer has cycle progress lites, temperature/option selector knobs that turn infinately and don't position on choices, a "timer" knob...

used DWs Yes I agree there really isn't much to a dishwasher- motor, timer, tub, and racks. I found a KA early 90s dishwasher at the curb. Nice but it had leaked from the beginning from where the racks attach on the side walls and rusted the entire side. and when they leak there is no guarantee...

the clock I've never seen a washer with a clock. Does anyone know if this was connected to the timer for like "delayed start" or was that, just a clock? Wow all those dispensers. I'll bet they simply tipped and dumped the magic potions into the tub.
