Servis MK.72 Hi Paul, in answer to your question on your other post, my mother's first automatic was a Servis MK72 machine. I remember going with her to look at all the machines of the day and she really like this one as it was small and neat, the sales person took a lot of time with us two...

    Hoover AutoJet and SupaJet

Few more machines from the 80s The Servis and the Electrolux I believe were effectively the same machine, the Bendix has the soap dispenser in a different place, the the controls bear a resemblance to the other two.

Indesit L6 Here's a catalogue picture of an Indesit L6 machine (I believe) amongst others. I must be honest that when I was a child I would go to peoples houses and would instantly look for their washing machine and form a complete opinion of them based on what type and brand of machine they...

Here's my Mum's Philips dishwasher in our Kitchen early 1980s, I took these photos for a school project, she was very trusting allowing me to unscrew it and turn it over!

Philips 2000 range of dishwashers Hi Paul, I've looked through all my Philips dishwasher leaflets and I don't think they started off with the blue knobs, could be wrong through. The leaflet I posted a few days ago with the three machines show the range without water softener and soap dispenser...

Thanks Paul, if it has the Slimstar in it this was one of my favourite machines. Here's the two middle pages of the brochure Al posted to complete the Superjet thread for you. Hi Al, I loved that Philips dishwasher, but it very regularly broke as the wires from the timer down to the bottom were...

UK market front & top loaders 195? to 1990 - theories, queries & rarities

Hi Al I've blown up the some of the pictures and you can get an idea of the front of the dishwasher perhaps from the small group of appliances at the bottom, (now I've looked more carefully I can see it's got three racks too!) and of also the top load washer the controls look interesting, with...

    Hoover AutoJet and SupaJet

Hi Paul My parents bought a second hand Hoover Superjet machine in 1977 (I'd be 12 at the time), it was their first flurry into the dishwashing machine era. It didn't have a water softener and was prone to scale coming loose and blocking the spray arms. As it got older when it was on its wash...
