The Bosch sounds nice but rather expensive. If they're on more of a budget you cant go wrong with any of the Whirlpool?kenmore 7.0 cu ft dryers. They're big and quite fast, also easy to service, you'll never have a hard time finding parts. Liam

I'd say more like 1985 or earlier. The washer may have the helical tranny. I'm not sure what year Maytag switched to the orbital tranny, some time in the late 80s I think. These machines don't have the fun center dial control panels, but they're still the same well built tags underneath. Liam
