Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Beautiful!

A rare find indeed. You just don't see six turquoise appliances in immaculate condition come up for auction everyday. How much do you think they're worth? I would say somewhere between $3000 to $5000 maybe more, especially considering those pink GEs went for over $4000 just a couple of weeks ago. Well I hope someone here gets them, its worth it for the Maytags alone!

I admit I'm considering them, but a long way to go to pick
them up. And who knows what the Reserve is - may just be
too much for my budget. Would be nice to have some closeups
of the controls/dials/etc.

Sort of like Christmas catalogs, you can look and wish, but
with eBay auctions, it usually comes down to the last few
minutes so all that looking and wishing may be for naught.

Called. Near Evansville, tip of Indiana. Wouldn't say what
the reserve was, but said it was high. If a good enough high
bid, he might sell even if reserve not reached. People have
called offering $2000 for washer/dryer. No dents, etc. Only
wear is on some of the buttons on the dryer, otherwise (he says)
everything is perfect. Has the same set, only in white, in
the lower part of the house that he is keeping. If they don't
sell (bid not high enough), might split things off.

Oh my! $2000 just for the washer and dryer... Is that reasonable? They do look as if they are in very nice shape, I must admit. I would just love to get a working washer/dryer set, though...

That's what he said. Of course people can say anything.

We had that dishwasher.

When we first moved to Ohio in 1969 we were in a rental while our house was finished and we had that dishwasher in Coppertone. It opens like an oven door and has the spin tube in the middle. This house also had a Fridgidaire washer in the kitchen that had the agitator that goes up and down (sorry for some reason I can't think of what that is called LOL). She always complained about how noisy that was. Really I think she just hated the fact that she had to live in a rental for a few months. It was small and much of our stuff was stored in the garage.

~Keep it up and it's going to be me and you in the front yard! *LOL*

Actually I would love to meet you.
(No camera, I promise)

So, perhaps wet T-shirts and a kiddie pool full of mud?
oh you were thinking boxing gloves, weren't you?

:-(

So who is going to rescue these? Come on you collectors out there really want them, I can SMELL it.

Well the auction ended with no sale. I'm guessing now he'll split the items up and try again.
