My new LG 4000 series washer and dryer

Extended Warranty So did either of you buy an extended warranty with your new LG's or is it worth it?

My new LG 4000 series washer and dryer

@appnut, Powerfin64, & Nmassman44 How are you finding the rinsing and spin cycles on your new LG's, especially the final spin, do you have much noise and vibrating, or does it seem to operate relatively quiet? I'm seriously considering these as my new acquisition once I get this mess sorted...

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

My new dryer is almost like yours Mark, less the hamper door. It works well, fingers crossed, but once in a while makes a ringing noise accompanied by a rattle on the top part of the cabinet, not the panel, so who knows what surprise is waiting under there for me some day (?). Probably when I...

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

I have a surge protector on the power panel to protect everything as we are prone to power surge periodically. Pierre, I like the new LG but can't get it in white, I also have extended warranty that right now is paying for itself.

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

Repair guy just left Another control board, pressure switch, and door lock need replacing, pretty soon it'll be an all new machine again.Well once the parts come in, I had a two month wait the last time, should be interesting to see how long it'll take this time around.

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

Sounds like Whirlpool is going to the dogs. I had an LG laundry pair and sold them when I moved to have new appliances in my new home. I guess I had been better off holding onto those, as my Whirlpool fridge has had two controls boards replaced in three years. Oddly enough the other part is not...

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

Hey Pierre, Did call Whirpool, I have an extended warranty for service, my whirlpool fridge similar problems with control board. The cost of extended warranty already covered with this recurring issue, Tks.

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

takes forever to go through a cycle, an extra 30-45 minutes, no matter how large or small the load, especially on the final spin. The chime rings through the cycle like the machine is done and it may have just started, the clean washer light stays, or just flashes on, even after you put it...

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

So the control board was replaced in August under warranty, now it's back to it's usual unusual behaviour trying to get through a cycle and I wait again for another service call. Are there many people out there having similar issues with this machine? I know I heard of one person having it...

    summer clothes line weather

Clotheline ban lifted ? A lot of places, provinces, now have the ban on clotheslines lifted because it infringes on the right to using solar energy. Some places, like high rises, allow the ground floor to have a clothesline but not the entire building. I guess it wouldn't be cool to be walking...

    LG Front Load Washer

@ mark_wpduet My drier is like yours, and it is efficient for drying. Was considering getting the twin steam drier to the Whirlpool wfw6620 washer I have, but the control board is going in it already, so with appliance availability low right now because of the pandemic, the control board may...

More Woes With Whirlpool 6620 Front-loading Washer: 2nd Machine Also A Dud

So Whirlpool replaced the control board or the entire machine? Have you had any issues since it was replaced?

More Woes With Whirlpool 6620 Front-loading Washer: 2nd Machine Also A Dud

At it again the control board is acting wonky today but seems to go through the cycle with nothing else happening.

More Woes With Whirlpool 6620 Front-loading Washer: 2nd Machine Also A Dud

My Whirlpool Fridge is going on three years old, in the last two years the same part has failed, but I was told I had basically a Maytag without any options, so it should last a while, seriously? Then he tells me most machines would be great if the electronic components were better made. I had...

More Woes With Whirlpool 6620 Front-loading Washer: 2nd Machine Also A Dud

My 6620 is acting wonky too ! My whirlpool is doing odd things like when it's powered on it's putting the clean washer light on after it was cleaned 2 weeks prior. It also makes that chime noise while in the wash cycle, then it'll display three dash lines (---) on the time remaining, but the...

Does anyone own this dryer and know how reliable it is thanks

Been looking for a steam dryer and still can't decide especially after hearing this about the Maytag dryer.A woman where I work bought a new Samsung set really likes the dryer finds it drys very quickly, but it's a top load set. I have a basic Whirlpool dryer now, but I miss the steam option on...

Whirlpool wed6620hw or Maytag med6630 Dryer

Been comparing these dryers, pretty much the same options, however the whirlpool dryer didn't get as good a review by customers or Review.com main complaint was it left the clothes damp after the cycle finished. Does anyone have either one or know anyone with either of these machines to help me...

    Tide Zero

Saw this new Tide on the shelf today, couldn't get a pic, left my phone in the car. Has anyone seen it yet, it's in a white bottle I'm wondering if it's replacing both Free & Gentle and the Purclean or would it have any optical brighteners?

    Whirlpool WED6620HW Dryer

Eco Boost I wondered what the gimmick was with this function. I also wonder if this newer whirlpool dryer WED6620HW will be pokey in dry times even without eco boost being engaged, because it's energy efficient?

    Whirlpool WED6620HW Dryer

I'm thinking with the four baffles on the 6620 it might help dry heavier loads more efficient. The fun part will be trying to sell the other dryer, most people don't like buying used appliances because they think there is something wrong with them.
