Does this look familiar to anyone?

Maybe yours isn't supposed to be black after all. Actually now that I look at it again, I see that yours has 'woodtone' handles with different end-pieces. Mine has black handles. Perhaps it was available both ways. -kevin

Does this look familiar to anyone?

It's missing a few things. It should be black on the top surface, and it should have a fryer basket inside with a thermometer as well as a plastic lid. It fits over a Jenn-Air griddle heating unit, and it can be used for stewing or deep-frying. -kevin

Just What The World Needs: Cute Pet Photo Thread

Here's a (low resolution) picture of my very favorite. For some reason, Shoney decided to take a nap on the pedals of the Hammond RT-3 one day. -kevin

Here's a picture of Micha relaxing and hanging his tongue out. A goofy picture of a goofy (but very lovable) dog. -kevin

Just What The World Needs: Cute Pet Photo Thread

Here are some Samoyed pix from my archive. Here is a picture of Ivan, Micha, and Nakita up on my deck. I got all three from Samoyed Rescue. Nakita had a seizure one night, and is no longer with us, but this is the sight which would greet me when I came home from work every day. Somehow it made...

    Now I'm Getting Scared

My Mama Always Said . . . That powdered detergents didn't dissolve quickly enough -- especially in cold water. I don't know whether that's true today, but a LOT of people still believe it. And marketing is all about ideas and concepts, NOT facts. True or not, I'm sure that the belief has a...

    ISE Classic Supreme Dishwasher

I don't think it's a 21. Of course it's hard to tell what changes were made when it was re-badged as an ISE, but the KA 21s had door latches which went down flush with the panel. If I had to guess, I'd say it looks more like an Imperial KDI 18 or so. -kevin

Another angle. You can see a white, fuzzy dog on the deck wondering what I'm doing out in the driveway instead of scritching him. The other dog has enough sense to stay inside. -kevin

    first snow ...

Snow. Bleah! Although I love many things about Wisconsin, snow definitely isn't one of them. Oh well, I took some pictures anyway. They're predicting 1-3 inches, so I had to go out and move my car onto the driveway. Since I was all bundled up, I took a little walk down the highway. Here's a...

    What's your theme song?

Linus & Lucy I was once staying in a large atrium hotel in Chicagoland, and my sister came to visit me and have dinner. It was in the middle of the week, so the hotel was kind of empty and fairly dark. I think there was a fish pond with a low waterfall. My sister and I were sitting in a...

    Gas Refrigerators

Nothing happened to them -- they're still made. They're great for cabins and campers, where electricity might not be available or reliable. They're not popular because people like all of the features that electricity can provide (you'd have to plug it in for automatic ice, cabinet lights...

    Happy Thanksgiving

By the way, the KitchenAids can both have their front panel The Superba has Black, White, Almond, and Harvest Gold panels, while the Custom has White, Almond, Harvest Gold, and Avocado. The stove, microwave, and range hood downstairs are black, so I made that one black to match. The stove...

    Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks, Pete, but I'm sentimental. Although I love both the very cool name and very cool look of Radaranges, there's a soft spot in my heart for my Goldstar carousel microwave. My parents were never particularly wealthy, but they did what they could to equip us for life on our own. They fed us...
