I know this should probably be in the Imperial forum. I was hoping that posting it here in Super would ensure quick responses.

Is this a Filter Flo?
BOL or TOL?
approx year?

Thanks for the help everyone!

Hi Gary~

The Model is: #WWA8858MAL...I am told it is a late 1980's to early 90's, MOL, 2 speed Filter Flo. A well knowledgable member took the time to email me and warn me that the later Model Filter Flo's has some mechanical issues.

So, I don't know...leaning against it.

your thoughts??

I don't remember those yellow stickers for much more than ten years.

I had a similiar model GE filter flo I bought new in early 1991. It was a MOL model. I had it only a year as I moved to Florida the following year so the washer got left with the house. I remember it being a good machine and it washed rather well. I think this was one of the last ones with the round filter pan on top of the agitator.

$50 isn't a bad price, but have a close look at the back panel, or better yet, underneath if possible. The back panel will be enough to tell if the lower tranny seal is leaking - an oil-stain line will be visible at about 12" from the bottom. I've seen some of these leak so bad that the delivery guys taking it away had to make a "diaper" out of the plastic wrap from the new washer to get the GE out of the house without ruining carpet and floors in the process. Good luck - FF's are very fun to play with.
