Nice machine James. I quite like the Hoovermatic basics. And I agree, the auto rinse flume on these later models aren't as good as the older swivel arm models. Always wondered why the basic models are of a different colourway to the deluxe models. Anyone have a use book of the T5090? Never read one!

1989 Hoovermatic Deluxe T5090. Daily driver until recently when the pump decided to slip its belt all the time. Using my lodgers Miele Novotronic 1200 atm. White Knight vented dryer.

My mum had that exact same Electronic 1100, good machine. The idea with the belt tensioning, I noticed that the motor wobbles slightly, I think I might get hold of some polystyrene myself!
